From Waste to Wealth:Become a Champion of Sustainable Waste Management
At Prakrit Sustainable Integrated Foundation we are dedicated to promoting sustainable practices and empowering communities to lead more environmentally friendly lives. Through our various initiatives on composting, we strive to educate and inspire individuals to take action towards reducing waste and nurturing the earth.
In our efforts to spread awareness and provide practical solutions, we've organized several events and workshops tailored to different groups:
"Matka Composting" for Anganbadi Women
We understand the importance of involving communities at the grassroots level. That's why we hosted a special "Matka Composting" session designed specifically for Anganbadi women. During this event, participants learned how to transform kitchen waste into nutrient-rich compost using traditional clay pots. By embracing this age-old practice, Anganbadi women can contribute significantly to waste reduction and soil enrichment in their neighborhoods.
"Matka Composting" for Government School Students
We believe in instilling environmental values from a young age. To achieve this, we organized a hands-on "Matka Composting" workshop for Government school students. Through interactive activities and demonstrations, students discovered the magic of composting and its impact on the environment. By empowering the next generation with practical skills, we aim to cultivate a culture of sustainability in schools and beyond.
Earth Day Celebration
In honor of Earth Day, we hosted a special DIY session focused on composting and bio enzymes. Led by the knowledgeable Ms. Neha Sharma, participants delved into the science behind composting and learned how bio enzymes can serve as eco-friendly alternatives for household cleaning. This event not only educated attendees but also empowered them to make conscious choices that benefit both their homes and the planet.
DIY Composting Session
Collaborating with the Kitchen Waste Association, we organized a DIY composting session at various schools . Community members were introduced to a range of composting techniques suitable for urban settings, including composting bins and vermiculture. By providing practical solutions tailored to local needs, we aim to inspire widespread adoption of composting practices and foster sustainable communities.
